I used music wire for my torque rods. If the model was for flight, mass could be conserved through the use of graphite rods or tube.

Nuzio’s ailerons are torque activated. Rods from the joystick in the cockpit extend through the fuselage walls to a bell crank located in the upper wing. The crank rotates and twists the metal rod, moving the aileron up or down. The model’s aileron system is very similar in design and operation as in the real Balilla.
