Scored at the AMA Expo today (not that I need any more). The Herr laser cut G-Bee and Corsair and the Comet Ryan SC and DH-4 (Jimmy's purchase) cost $60 for the "Bundle". But I was most excited to find the "Lancaster". We walked away with the other four to put them in the car, but alas, I could not resist the pull and went back and picked up the Bomber.

Swapped out the motor again to ParkZone gear. Note the different gear ratio (about 4/1). The motor is a much "Hotter" wind than the previous. I had to revert to a lower pitch prop because the "P Factor" (torque) of the 100x80mm would roll the aircraft over with a rapid advance of the throttle! Yikes! http://www.youtube.com/user/pfinnfp?feature=mhee .

Changed the powerplant from the 7mm 1.7 ohm direct drive to a 6mm 4.5ohm 5.25:1 ratio gearbox. The prop in the picture is a 100x60 mm. It barely kept the aircraft in the air. I switched to a 100x 70 or 80? (doesn't say) for the video. Better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-Bv9zRJctY

Temporarily assembled so I could set the C of G with a few tosses (freeflight). The thing actually flies. Notice that one of the motor leads worried off. Bummer.

2um mylar covering. Used thinned "Stix-It" heat sensitive adhesive to apply. A bit tricky at first (as always) but gets easier with practice. Slivers of mylar trimmings REALLY do the static cling thing big time. Funny and annoying at the same time! I put some on Nico the cat. That was the funny part ;o) !

Made some "Doh-nut" actuator mounts for ease of covering and removal. Some pretty thin wire there. What you see is actually 2 wires twisted together. Sheesh!

This is what I use to apply small amounts of CA (A nice piece of Brass of Aluminium would look much nicer ;o0 ) . Just bend some .015" (? or less) wire like this. there is a "Tang" that inserts into the tube. Put a couple drops of CA in or on something that won't absorb it (like wax paper, piece of plastic, whatever, and dip the tip in to pick up a small amount. The smaller the angle between the tips (let's say 5 deg instead of 10 deg) with hold more glue. They do need to be cleaned quite often when using the with CA (scape off with a knife). They work awsome for accelerator (Kicker). No need to spray down the whole thing for just one glue joint.
