| The small holes will be enlarged after the spinners get a couple of coats of gesso which strengthens the wood. The prop blades painted yellow will also be left to dry awhile. |

| I've been waiting to see this one back on your table. Question on the Gesso: I think you said it works best on bare wood, so what about covering? Before or after Gesso? |

| I said on bare wood because it looks as if you would not need to cover it, like Heywood builds. It worked ok on the P-61 but I don't think it was needed. I don't know whether before or after. You could probably do either or both. |

| I used it over bare wood on the Bulldog but plan to use it on both bare wood and over tissue that I will be applying to the Stearman where fabric covering exists on the full size aircraft. I am thinking about using half-round lengths of extruded plastic on the fuselage to simulate stringers and strips of tape on the wings to simulate rib/tape - then covering with tissue and Gesso overall - I need to mock it up yet to make sure it will work but I think it'll be just fine |

| If you use it on silkspan covered areas that are open, as opposed to solid wood, I suggest you put on three or so coats of dope first, otherwise the covering can sag. It will come back to tight but I don't like it doing that |
