Compared to other WW I German aircraft...Albatross, Pflaz...the Dr. I was not used in great numbers, and only appeared near the end of the conflict. The Red Baron thing got the press and notoriety. Manfred had his greatest number of victories in a Albatros. Shows you what press can do...maybe even make you a president!!! |
