haven't done tissue in a while.... |

Still looks good. I keep thinking about one, but aligning 3 wings slows me down. |

Nicely done. That is a lot of wings! I was watching a youtube video over the weekend from Greg's Planes and Automobiles and he was saying that a big factor in the DR1 performance was the propeller, not the extra wings. It's an interesting argument. It does detract from the fact that these are cool looking planes. |

I guess that is a pretty good size prop |

thanks guys one problem : the tissue was red, so I didn't have to paint it. but, I put 3 coats of 50/50 water and white glue to strengthen the tissue. Then painted white where the decals would go because didn't know how opaque the decals were. when the water from the decals hit the white area it still got all soggy and didn't dry out properly.

Because I don't worry about weight, I apply many coats of EZE DOPE thinned 1:2 (1 part dope, 2 parts water), each dried with a hair blow dryer, until the tissue no longer wrinkles when I apply it. I still get a little wrinkling when painting or apply decals, but it usually tightens right back up. |

I'll try that next time.... seems to be the more coats of anything especially filler or primer we use the better it will turn out !! |
