| LASTWOODSMAN | 06-Jul-17 15:26 | | 20" Sig 'Customaire biplane - The second W6 rib on each wing is now added with a 1/32" spacer between the ribs, where the strut tips will locate in the space between the doubled up W6 ribs. The strut tips can be moved forward or backward in the slot, or "sprung a little", in the slot left when I remove the 1/32" spacer. There are also added one 1/16" square balsa strip of wood on top of the solid wing tip pieces, to sand down and shape after assembly, for a smooth tissue application. Two little gussets were also added at the skinny thin 3/32" wing tip root - OOOOPS - I used 1/16" sq - must cut it out now! Smiley and put in the right size ... |
