The instructions state, "For added detail, wheel may be notched at corners of tread as partially indicated on full scale drawing." They don't say how to do it. So I made this template and, using a spindle, set it over the tire (or tyre, for you folks across the pond) and mark loctions using a pencil lead. Ink shows up better, but the lead seams to file smoother. |

Creosotewind | 20-Feb-10 07:01 | Thanks, everyone. John, I figured the same thing about the graphite. Frwyflyer, if you look closely at the tire, there is a circle drawn at the base of the grooves. I used a circle template to define the bottom edges. And Poppy, I tried several different files, the round seems to work best. Thanks again for the comments. |
