No real P-47 engine ever had such a color. I find it’s best to stick with scale colors to keep the model looking like a warbird, not a race car. edbecky 05-Jan-22 10:00 I didn't like the blue either. I was looking for more of a dark grayish color on that part of the engine. Main reason for experimenting with the paint. I posted a pic of what I'm shooting for.
