| heywooood | 02-Jun-19 23:37 | | I added simple rollers at the head end and measured the gear legs, fitted the wheels - then used the plan drawing as a template, checking to be sure the cutouts were in the right places. The tail wheel wont retract but will be removable so the model can hang as 'in flight' or set on a shelf as needed |
| heywooood | 02-Jun-19 23:44 | | this image shows the final result of the cutouts themselves..prior to detail and paint of course. Only the spackle and Gesso have been applied. A bit more filling and sanding is required. There is a LOT of work to be done on this wing yet..gear fairings, guns, belly pan, etc.. |
