Looks very nice. I have some video of one of these flying (Kermit Weeks' one, up in Lakeland). THe pilot did some so passes, which were VERY slow! Should be good for a nice slow flying model too... |

Top speed was 109 and I read it could fly at 20 knots. There's a really incredible story about it being used to rescue Mussolini from a mountain, breaking the landing gear during take off. They were successful but he was hanging by his heels not much later. |

Thanks. I think you are correct. The instructions say it was one of the first to achieve performance very similar to a helicopter. It's certainly not the prettiest bird in the air but one just has to admire the fact that it's up there at all. |

I have some video of Kermit Weeks flying his (full scale) one down here in Florida. It's pretty amazing. I'll try and upload it to YouTube and post on here sometime. |
