| Creosotewind | 01-Dec-08 09:08 | | I put it off until the last, since I haven't carved anything except a turkey for the last 35 years or so. Three pieces of 1/16" basswood. I am surprised it turned out so well. I still need to finish the prop hub, varnish the prop and add the brass edging. But very nearly done. Oh yeah, the black tubes on the landing gear are soda straws covered in masking tape, painted black. These were canvas or leather covers that protected the springs for the l.g. |
