Winter is nearly over here so time to get back in the workshop. I have re-designed the postionable landing gear legs for the Kittyhawk using a 'bunny ears' tv aerial. They allow the gear to retract up and down and then turn through 90 degrees. |

Very clever Nigel. How many cold night's in front of the fire did it take to come up with this bit of inspiration. |

It's been a long winter with no TV reception Gary. |

A nifty bit of engineering!! |

Well certainly no TV reception if you're going to cut up the rabbit ears! ("No TV and no beer make Homer something, somthing." "Go crazy?" "Don't mind if I do!") |

That is an ingenious idea. Great job. Looking forward to seeing it on the plane. |

What kind of tv did you get the antenna from? |

The antenna (bunny ears) is an after market job sold at most electronic/appliance shops for about $20 but in this case was sourced at my favourite place, the recycling shop. Cost I think was $1. The mesh is the filter mesh in a common old tap fitting - about $5 for a pack of 4 at the Hardware centre. |
