| Looking at this attempt we are not pleased. I shall tear this apart tomorrow and try again. We have never attempted a gunnery pit before, as such, we are in midst of a learning process. |

| First make a cardboard silhouette of the Lewis gun in a scale to match the plane. Then build the mounting mechanism to match the size of the gun. I have been working bass ackwards. |

| John, please tell Gumby to wire it for A/C current. All the gun turrets on the B17 were A/C motors. |
