| thanks guys, it's my second, I built a mig 15 prior. it tells you a bunch of crap you should do, but should have made it more sensible and simpler. |

| Very interesting approach to the engine nacelles. If I'm guessing correctly, are they being constructed integrally with the wings? |

| sky you can build it separately, I was just showing them together. you can cover it separately, but it may tear the tissue when attaching it, but it's hard to cover when combined. I haven't decided which to do. |

| In that case, it might be best to build and cover the wings and engine nacelles separately and then glue them together. The best way (Just my opinion and would appreciate any feedback) may be to first cover the wings. After the wings are covered, doped and dried, then create a template of the covered wing's profile onto a piece of lightly stiff paper and (after much trial and error of fitting and refitting) transfer this pattern onto the nacelles prior to covering. You'll probably have to produce four separate templates (two per nacelle, meaning, one per each side, for both the inner and outer versions). Tack the paper templates onto the nacelles prior to covering and verify their fit. Try to keep the profiled papered templates as small as possible so as to avoid any paper sticking out through the covering. You might wish to give them a slight curve by gently rolling them to fit the curvature of the nacelle sides. Glue the paper templates to their respective nacelle sides and then cover the remainder of the engine nacelles. That way, the chances are you'll stand to get an extremely good fit when gluing the covered ( & finished) nacelles. Just one way of approaching this issue. Skye |
