He did a great collection of vids on the Jug. Impressive. I had known the P-47 was purposely built as a bomber escort but had never put it together that the top USAAC brass had scuttled its use, believing their bombers didn’t NEED escort fighters. Even as their crews were being decimated. If anyone is interested in learning more about the P-47 or any of the aircraft featured in Greg’s videos - I highly recommend them.
