Maybe I was lucky, but the balsa wood parts have been die-cut so cleanly that they are literally falling out of the sheets. David Duckett 26-Dec-09 11:51 I resumed modeling after a 4 year break with this kit at the start of 2006 and that was about the same time I discovered digital cameras and shortly after that I discovered this site. This was the second time I built it, the first one vanished from the LHS when it was sold. While certainly not a "how to", there are 3 pages of construction photos of it in my hanger. These big kits from Guillows have excellent building instructions and several sheets of plans. It may look intimidating but it's all very well engineered and the construction follows a logical sequence. The use of 3/32" stringers instead of 1/16" ones makes a world of difference in ease of building. I don't remember any problems with the wood but I would suggest you check all the plastic pieces and if any are flawed Guillows will replace them. Please sign in to comment on this image.
