All the big Guillows kits use the same construction technique so these modifications will apply to them, as well. It's not easy but it can be done. I have found several problems over the years with plastic pieces in these kits being mal-formed and for kits still in production Guillows will replace them free. Of course, with this kit you will have to deal with what's in the box and there has been marked differences in the plastic in the three I've built. Sometimes the plastic is milky and resembles latex and sometimes it's white. In all cases it's fairly thick. I have pointed out the flaws in this kit several times for potential builders but when finished it is a very impressive model. Its faults have certainly not kept its price down. The last five sold on Ebay averaged $225.00. julinick 21-Sep-15 11:06 Looking back at all the threads on the B-29, this was a big issue with the plastic cowlings. Dale1416 father's B-29 was beautifully done and you can see minor flaws in his cowlings. Like David mentioned, you have to work with what you have and hopefully, and in Dale's father's case, turned out exceptionally well.
