Image Comments jerry campbell 17-Mar-09 12:37 When finishing Von Werra's 109E I decided that it might be interesting to do the Spitfire that shot him down. A little research on the computer and I found the jerry campbell 17-Mar-09 12:52 that Von Werra was shot down by P/O Gerald 'Stapme' Stapleton of 603 Squadron Hornchurch. I chose the West Wings WingLeader Spitfire Mk 1 kit because it is in 1/24th scale the same as the 109. I can piece together the markings (XToL) from a 1/24th scale Techmod sheet.
