| I had one unsuccessful vacuum mold after another till I was down to my last sheet of PETG. So I got desperate decided to try molding with a $0.20 plastic plate first. The 0.010" or so of the plate hides minor surface imperfections and provides a very smooth surface for the clear plastic. This does increase the size of the canopy a tad bit so it might not work.
Dipping in Future would probably help smooth out the minor imperfections that remain, but I don't have time to let it dry and don't want to mess these up since it'll be a few days till I have more clear PETG. |
