Landing gear install into 2 metal tubes in the fuselage. There is a 3rd tube further back, to allow for floats.

Very nice work, John. How does she fly? What's the all up weight?
John Cooper28-Jan-08 10:03
All up weight is 27 oz. The 3 cell Lipo and the Nippy Black pull it along with plenty of power to spare. It flies like a trainer, crusing at about 1/3 throttle. With flaperons down, it comes in very slowly.

Sounds nice! What's the wing span? How do you find the flaperons? I have them on my Tyro, but rarely use them for landing since I lose too much roll authority. You don't have that problem?

Sorry, just saw your other comment, 48" wingspan!

Because of its high wing and dihedral, it can fly with just the rudder (although I normally use ailerons as well). I don't have any control problem when landing.
