Wing and stabilizer complete. Solid tips are add-on.

Looking good! What's your impression of the Diels kit?

Did you use extra stringers? Looks straight and true to me!!!

DD...So far I would say it is average good. Materials O.K. and plans clear. Yes, Jedi, I did use a lot of extra spars.

JG...are you covering with paper or wood?
JohnG.18-Jun-08 08:10
Will be covering with medium wt. silkspan.

This is looking good!! Are airfoils symetrical top and bottom?
JohnG.18-Jun-08 12:50
The wing is curved on top and down around the LE but, the botton is flat. Rudder and stabilizer are elliptical

What happened with this project? I have the plans here and I'm ready to start this thing, so I'm gathering info on the build. Were you able to finish this one, and are there any more photos? Thanx! bp

Bill...due to circumstances beyond my control the build went onto the shelf last Summer. May not get back to it B/4 this Summer. Had started on the nacelles using basswood stringers and found they were too stiff and the final bend to the nose pulled it out of shape...will have to redo and use balsa...otherwise routine build. Looking forward to viewing your build. No new pixs at this time.

Thanx! Mine will be 80" wingspan built with 1/4 plywood...
