| pfinn | 03-Aug-09 16:33 | | Looks like it's gonna be a beautiful fuselage! I think you came up with a much more fool-proof technique for arriving at a finished fuse. You may think about scalloping between the longerons to create long and smooth lines down the fuse sides. |
| scirocco14 | 03-Aug-09 16:56 | | Thanks, Philip. If you look closely, I've already started to scallop the formers at the rear (underneath). Once I'm done with the top, I'll do the rest. Most of the front half of the fuselage is actually sheeted with 1/32" balsa so no need there. |

| scirocco14 | 03-Aug-09 20:38 | | Really, this is my first scratch build ever and only the 4th model since I returned after 30 years. My teenage years I built profile control line planes. Slab fuselages, built up wings (Ringmaster Juniors for example).
But I do have a degree engineering and build racing cars as a hobby, as well as restore old sports cars. I'll post a couple pics of my "other" hobbies... |
