The manifolds on a model A are on the right side of the block, so this shows the engine sitting backward in the air craft.I suppose it would have been difficult to take power for a prop off the front of the engine. What does that do to the direction of prop rotation? I think the Model A didn't have an oil pump, engine bearings were "splash lub" I would be afraid to fly any thing but flat and level. |
