The instructions state, "For added detail, wheel may be notched at corners of tread as partially indicated on full scale drawing." They don't say how to do it. So I made this template and, using a spindle, set it over the tire (or tyre, for you folks across the pond) and mark loctions using a pencil lead. Frwyflyer, if you look closely at the tire, there is a circle drawn at the base of the grooves. I used a circle template to define the bottom edges.
