Fresh from the paint shop

well executed paint job David - I love the blood orange color.. EDIT - when I saw these images on my laptop the color had a distinct orange tint - but on the PC monitor in my workshop it looks red. Guess I need to reset the laptop screen.

It's Cadmium Red Medium Hue, about as red as it gets.

it looks spectacular in red David! and I've reset my laptop color to default... Have you got an image with that fabulous Williams Bros Wasp Jr featured?

Great job! Just curious, isn't this a Gee Bee Model Z? If so, wasn't that supposed to be yellow and black?

artistic license...plus I have seen a Z in red and white... http://arielcreation.blogspot.com/2016/02/alabeo-gee-bee-model-z-fsxp3d.html

No photos featuring the Wasp but there will be more when it's finished. Yes, Gary, it is a Z model but I have said from the start that it would not be black and yellow. The first time I saw a Gee Bee it was an R model with red and white paint and that's how I like it. Course, it did not have black racing and registration. I do not like the yellow and black scheme and as I have said before see no obligation to paint it that way. I know many of you build models to represent a specific plane flown by a particular pilot but I do not.

Looks awesome!

it sure DOES! Dave - did you get my belated email reply?
David Duckett05-Aug-18 13:07
Yes, thanks. The canopy is on.

Sorry. Hope I didn't offend. I was only curious as to the choice of colors. Beautifully done.

Love this build David - beautiful work. Can see the artist in you coming out there too.
