David Duckett | 07-Aug-18 09:01 | Liquitex acrylics are very translucent. The color on the right is pure Cadmium Red Medium Hue and if used by itself would require many coats. The color on the left is that color mixed with light gray which adds an opaqueness to the red. This covers in two coats and the red then got three coats. Adding light gray does this to most colors. |
