Are the tubes angled outward? biplane guy 04-Aug-16 08:14 No, the tubes run parallel to the stringers. Since they terminate at the aft end of the formers and flush with the fuselage sides the tapered shape of the fuselage allows the cables to exit the covering without touching it. The cables run in a straight line from the stick and rudder pedals without touching anything until they reach the guide tubes so there seems to be very little friction.
