Probably the biggest PIA so far. Finding it very hard to smooth the attach point transition of these friggin struts. I envy you biplane builders.

BTW, rough side of fuselage just ahead of strut represents Micro-fill added because of careless sanding in the tight spaces at base of strut. "Bad Moostang'

Moose...I mortise and tenon joint thin Al stips to the struts then cut slits in the surface to accept the Al strut tabs...fill after they dry in place.

The mortise and tenon was a no brainer. The problem is creating the sweeping, tapered flair with Micro-fill much like a capital on a structural column at both ends. That's reinforced carpenter lingo.

Play dough!

Play doygh is subject to cracking after it dries out in a gazillion years. Though my kids' silly putty does hold surfaces in position while gluing. Try it sure beat pinning.

Caot it when dry and it will not crack in a gazillion years or get High class playdough in the art department of a craft store. I think you can "finger form" the shape you desire, then wrap it around the area...let dry and sand to shape....just a thought!
