The starboard engine is tial fitted. A little more work must be done to the engine.

Jerry, very nice so far. I'm watching your build closely to get some pointers. I have been toying with the idea of a 1/16 scale RC Me-262 to match the 1/16 Guillow's kits.

Thanks Simon, What plans etc. are you thinking of using? The Shorty's are a abit of a tough build for me -- a lot of finagling to do the fuselage and a lot of hacking to get the wings to fit in place.

I like the plans that are on Parker Information Resources. I will plan to build it similar to a 400 series Guillow's kit. One problem is that there is not an electric ducted fan that has enough thrust and a small enough diameter to maintain the scale appearance of the engine housing. As you can see from your model the intake is quite small. It would have to be increased from 32mm to 50mm in order to get enough thrust for an RC conversion at 1/16 scale.
