I have used only dope on my models so far. I wouldn't mind trying something else that works as well but without the fumes. The wood glue/water mixture dries smooth and no sanding is necessary. The number of coats depends on how much water you mix in the glue, concistency of milk is a nice place to start. I use less water in the mix for attaching the tissue and more for final coating as a thicker mix holds the paper better while drying. If you look at my Storch build you can see how acrylic paint goes on it. And i use two coats of glue/water. Please sign in to comment on this image.
