Here we are. Top left is the spinner mold, 2 piece prop mold and engine cowling mold on the right. A little light sanding and way we go. Another 3 sets to go.

Brian, it is not too hard. Several hobby stores sell kits with the mold making material and the resin. It takes some trial and error (lots of error on my part) to get the mixes right, but once you figure it out, it is a lot of fun. And there is great satisfaction in seeing multiple copies. A big time saver, too.

thanks creosotewind for your response. do they sell the mold kits over the internet like at tower?

Brian, check out Alumilite products, they are pretty cheap. This is the first time I've made molds and tried casting. I purchased the mold straight from them, but I purchased the casting resin from Michaels with 50% off coupon that came out to$8.00 CND. So far on the casting resin, I've made 4 engine cowlings, 4 spinners and 9 prop blades with 3 more to go, and still have half a bottle on both "A" and "B" resins. Each bottle contains 8 fluid ounces. If I can do it so can anyone else.
