All damaged trees have been dropped. Our house and the neigbors houses should be safer now. We lived with the trees for 36 years. They were 75 to 80 years old and they were almost 100 ft tall. |

Nice photo. It looks like a battleground. |

Will you be planting new trees??? |
John M Oshust | 10-Nov-12 17:46 |
Yes, small, not tall, fruit trees. |

Have been following the reports about Sandy closely. I'm sorry for the people at Breezy's Point. Are you in New Jersey, Mr. Oshust (John) ? |

I am in land in New Jersey. My problems are very small when compared to those along the NJ coast and Long Island. When mother nature lashes out her fury, carbon units like us can never win. If you choose to build homes along the coast, this is the price you must eventually pay. The shoreline is dynamic. It continually changes with nature’s whim. Like the 75+ year old trees on my property, nature's forces always win in the end. |

Such a shame! Mother nature builds, lets us enjoy for a while, then takes it back. That's life. |

Today I demolished and removed what was left of a chain link fence dog kennel. Taking it down at 66 seemed a bit harder than erecting it when I was 35. |

John the bottom line is that you are still here long after the trees have gone. That is the good thing. |
