I am very pleased with my wing! It's a big improvement over my first plane!

Wow!! Evan very nice job with the covering, I still don't have the tissue covering process figured out.

Nice work, elt me know if you need shark decals for the nose.
John M Oshust12-Sep-08 20:12
Let me know that is!

That would be great! Do you need any money for postage? I didn't want to paint the nose for weight conservation. I think I've mastered tissue covering. I went rib by rib on the wing. I used the White Glue/Water mix, and for each rib section first applied the trailing edge of the tissue and let it sit for about 15 seconds, then applied the rest slowly, pulling a little to the side if it needed it, then I pulled the nose of it forward and down to keep the rounded shape of the ribs. It took more time, but it helped keep it smooth.

You know Barnstormer, your P-40 is a masterpiece, so I don't see the need for improvement!

Looking great Evan. I have a P40 in amongst my models which i am hoping to build. I am going to base it on the Flying Tigers who fought for China against the japanese towards the end of the war. I'll post the insignia that they had on their planes if your interested

Hey Evan, John O. will get you some good decals, and it looks like wingspanner has the rest of the Flying Tigers insignia. Thanks for the complements on my P-40, I have to give credit to poppy, I learned so much from his P-40 build and others like John O. and David Duckett.
