Image Comments jerry campbell 14-Feb-09 13:21 I never seriously considered building the inexpensive 500 series kits until I noticed the size, the Bf 109 is exactly 1/24th scale and the Fw 190 is just a little smaller than 1/24th scale. jerry campbell 14-Feb-09 13:36 I built seperate rudder and fin. I also added an extra former in the nose in order to add individual exhaust pipes(four)coming off the engine in front of an exhaust heat plate on each side, this heat plate without louvers was an identifying feature of the A-1. I also installed solid wing tips. The aircraft I am building is reported to have been a pre-production Fw 190A-O that was brought up to A-1 standards, I have some small changes to make to accompish this.
