First coat of Liquitex gray primer.

If she gets too heavy to fly I guess she'll just become a hanger queen. Carved balsa spinner for use with scale prop (and I only drew blood once while making it). Canopy is covered in Master Mask by Hobbico. After taking the previous picture I realized the exhaust manifolds were too high, they are now positioned correctly.

Primer and paint do make 'em heavy. Great job.

Glad to see you joined the Guillow's website. If you really want in depth insight on painting with the Liquitex, search for David Duckett's tutorial titled "Painting With Acrylics". I say this because you may have panicked when the tissue started sagging. It's normal. But so is the panic if you aren't aware of the acrylic application. Check out DD's post.

I actually found this site from posts on the Guillow's forum. I read Dave's painting post so I was ready for the sagging (also good info for covering in silkspan). Everyone that has posted there or pictures and tips here has been very helpful to me.

Glad you like the site Steve. The 109 is looking great, looking forwards to seeing more progress!
