Nice job, DD. Is that wheel going to be attached?

Thanks! Indeed it will be!

Another beauty. I see you used the technique you told me about not having to paint the blue on the insignia. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Fine, Fine, Fine.

Thanks! This is my first use of Tamiya masking tape, having used all the Pactra 1/8" I had on the Gee Bee, and I am very pleased with it. It's 3mm which is basically 1/8". It has a plastic feel and is quite flexible, even enough to mask an inside curve.

Very nice, David.

Thank you, James.

I have a 1/48 scale Revell plastic model of this being used as a reference and a Telasco kit of the Cougar at about 1/15 scale. Comparing them I found that the Cleveland kit is even more off than the previously mentioned jet intakes. This kit has a fuselage shaped more like an oval than the circle it should be and you can see how slim it is. The Cougar will have the correct shape.

David, was this kit in their Industrial Training line? I think those were less concerned about scale, and more about...I don't really know. But all were to have about a 36" wingspan. You made it look really nice.

Thank you. It is an industrial training kit, same as the F-80, and while I like the way it looks, it will always nag me that it's wrong. I can forgive myself if I make a mistake and just chalk it up to being a dumb ass.

Can I borrow some chalk, Dave?...I've used mine up..twice

You're not alone.
