Image Comments David Duckett 10-Apr-15 14:27 Canopy 101: The canopies in Diels kits are molded without frames so they are smooth all over. They are also made of very thin plastic. You must trim the extra material away from the molded piece to make it fit. You MUST cut as carefully as you can, making small cuts until it fits. I painted the cockpit interior outside the lines to insure everything inside is covered. THen start by taping the canopy in place front and rear, making sure it is aligned properly. rayl 10-Apr-15 16:42 David, if I might make a comment: I have found that a pair of "Cuticle Scissors" with the curved blades make life a lot easier when trimming out canopies ( and other vac-formed parts for that manner). If you go back and look at John's spinning prop pic, there is a similar pair laying in the foreground. David Duckett 10-Apr-15 17:01 I know what they are and I agree. I've had a pair before but have no idea what happened to them. I use orange handled scissors, a small and a large size.
