Through a wonderful chain of generosity this will be next. Thank you to Heywooood and David Duckett. Research and planning stage is underway.

This looks to be one of the most difficult kits ever! I am certainly looking forward to seeing it come alive.

I also look forward to seeing your work progression on this kit, Don. The Tigercat is in good hands. Have you already selected the squadron / livery you plan to model?

DD, you're starting to make me nervous. :) And Kevin, it's going to be the Blue Angel flown by Cdr. Zeb Knott. The one in the picture.

if one were to model every aircraft the Blues have flown in their history, this would be one of the hardest kits to find. Is there a decent balsa kit of the A4 Skyhawk? might have to scratch that one up without a kit. Can't wait to see Cdr. Knott's aircraft in your hangar, Don Great choice

I don't care for 1/20" balsa, at all, and it's used in this kit. Plus the construction will be far easier for someone experienced with real wood because you might need to do some of your own designing.

The "redesigning" has already started. The kit is the "short nosed" version and I am going for the "long nose". The interior engine mount stuff is eliminated, the wings and fuselage shaped a bit different as well as one piece. Since I'll be making the parts, they'll be 1/16". Guess which kit just reappeared on Ebay.
