Not sure of the reason. 2 possibilities: 1, pulled tape at the wromg angle (towards the the red instead of towards the white, 2. I got impatient with the acrylic white paint coverage and put 2 coats of Krylon white on and the latex didn't stick well. After this I sanded the white lightly before painging over it.
