I have used threaded plastic rod in the past . It is cheap and works good and is easy to cut. Used plastic rod on my Spirit of ST. Louis. These little allens were the right size, so I used them this time. The rocker boxes are balsa, you don`t see them much once the engine is in the cowling.I found 1:32 scale plastic Wright R1830 engines on the inter-net that look really cool,but at 30 bucks each It`s too much for the old pocket book Please sign in to comment on this image.
