I have started to cover the model with tissue that has details printed on it from a laser printer. The advantage of a laser printer, compared to an inkjet printer, is that the color is completely water proof.

Looks like a great covering job, John. It always amazes me how large this aircraft is in real-life.

How do you find out where to print the markings? Do you have a template PDF file or something, or did you create that? Trial and error?

It is certainly a big single engine plane when you see the full size aircraft. The full size is also surprisingly model like with a large dihedral and what seems to be down-thrust. For the markings I used the plans and a ruler to figure out where everything goes. My graphics program (one that came with my camera) can display a ruler so I was able to get things relatively close the first time. After a bit of trial and error, I got images that matched the plans.

Definitely; this is good stuff!

Thanks, will do. One tip I should mention is that I do not always follow the instructions when it says to cover the fuselage in the order of bottom, sides, then top. On the T28 it is easier to cover the top before the sides; you can get a more even overlap. Also, when there are graphics on the side pieces of tissue (that extend to the border of the top piece of tissue), this seems to be the only practical way cover.
