Since I'm building kits that I usially have to cut out the print wood the Lazer cut parts provided by Dumas are really appreciated, and the hours are spent building instead of cutting.

Jerry isn't this a repeat for you?

Repeat? Yes and no. I've built the Dumas kit before, but as a 109G-2/3. This time I'm building it(converting it) to a G-6 with entirely different markings and a quite a different color scheme. The Bf 109 was the most built aircraft (over 33,000 in a dozen different variants) and served on every front of the European war and carried an unbelievable variety of colors schemes and unit heraldry. One unit during the Battle of Britain even painted out the tail swastika in protest of the Nazi anti-semitism.

One of the vets on the Air Force site I used to be a part of builds nothing but Mustangs and although in many scales, all are painted,+ or -, in the same gunfighter scheme. I think he has well over 50 of them.

Many years ago I knew a guy that collected box art. He would buy a kit cut the box top art and throw away the kit. I ran into him about ten years ago and his wife confirmed he was still collecting the box top and throwing away the kit. Of course he often gave away the kit rather than waste basket it. I don't think you can call this an obsession like your P-51 collector, I'm not sure what you can label the "box collector".

A collector of box top art, of course.
