The kit provided formed cowling was just a bit too small in dia. to work with the engine I had decided to work with so I modified things a bit. In this image you can see the cowling I used mounted over the sleeve of plastic sheeting provided with the kit that you are required to cut and fashion into a ring and mount to the forward fuselage. The engine fits neatly into the ring sleeve and then my cowling just fits over the sleeve...my cowling is cut from the bottom of an aspirin bottle that I emptied trying to figure out how to make this work...
