All of the pieces are finally together. Used a canopy off of a Guillows T-bolt. Haven't decided on the scheme yet. One of the other RCr's wants me to put MonoKote on it. Never done that before. Hmmm.

Very nice. Is that white all cardstock? I'm looking at the cowl especially.

Paper and dope it. Way less work and it does not come apart at the edges. Plastic films tend to let go after a while

Don; The cowl is strip planked w/ 3/32" balsa and primed with Glidden "Gripper" and the gills are 1/64" plywood. The hatch on top has had a coat of Gesso applied per DD. Unfortunately, I found out that applying Monokote over a sealed surface will lead to problems with bubbles under the Monokote. I will use a wallpaper "woodpecker" to install many small perforations all over to prevent the bubbles. The Cowl will be painted so I won't worry about that. Anders; So I've been told, but I bought a roll of Monokote, so I'm going to try it. Likely the plane will expire long before the Monokote has a chance to let go :-)

Rayl, I used to use a lot of Solite over sealed balsa, and I think Monokote is the same from the one aircraft I did with it. Bubbles shouldn't be an issue, because you can just stick a pin in them, reapply heat, and they should lay perfectly flat. No pin hole visible. Not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but, FYI!

Anders; Yes, I believe that are on the same page as far the bubbles go. If I screw it up, it's only a silly model airplane.

Right.

I should have remembered that from earlier post. ARF (Age related forgetfulness)
