Sharp looking landing gear.

Glad to see you found your answer for the color. Looking forward to seeing this one.

looks good don, are you going to cover it with plywood? lol.

Both bottoms on. The left one decided to warp, so it's been wet and is now drying. Hopefully straight. This is the top piece. For the most part I used Elmer's white glue on he bottom. It allows more work time an dhopefully will be easier to sand I did the leading edge here with CA. App.lied it to the 1/32 and then was able to hold/push the leading edge down on a level surface while it set. wing

Thanks Ed. And - after lots, really, lots of searching, I finally found out that everything except the fuselage sides and control surfaces are plywood covered. The pre war colors were the blue and yellow. Those manufactured after )ct. 30, 1942 were all silver. Since my uncle flew them in '43, I'll go with silver.

I like it.

Right wing done, left started. I doubled the ribs for a more scale look.

Fuselage is basically finished. The nose has 2 coats of spackle and then 3 coats of dope.

Thanks. The plan is for flying, but it will end up as a display. It's pretty light construction. Next will be his BT-13 and then the AT-17. Eventually they'll go to my cousins.

looks good don! box and formers, would only build them as a last resort.

I like it, looks good square and even. An Earl Stahl plan should be a flyer.

An omen?
edbecky, Comment for image # 4263830 Aug 20 08:57
Never mind. Looked up plans and see it's labeled crash protector.
edbecky, Comment for image # 4263830 Aug 20 08:33
Good start. Don, why does it say CRASH on your plan?
Don C, Image # 4263929 Aug 20 18:04

Basic frame. Now the formers.
