This is one neat photo! Any difficulty in cutting / gluing the prop hubs?.... attaching the prop blades to the hubs?? |

Very nice construction. I guess I am a little to late to order a 29 from Guillows now. |

Thanks, looks like a lot of plastic parts to duplicate if I decide to try to do so. Hopefully my kit is also in such good condition, even sealed they can rub a rough spot in a canopy. |

My mind was in remiss, I apologize! |

The cowlings on these big birds just simply do not fit properly, strange because on the DC 3 and B 25 they fit perfectly. I also covered this seam with silkspan. No John, Uncle's being good to you. I built one of these once before, around 2000, and there's one photo of it in my hanger. |

John, whenever someone comments on an old picture, the comment appears at the top here. So, Moostangs comment made this picture pop up again. DD finished this one in January I think. |

DD...Has the Uncle commandered my brain, or did you already build one of these in the past? |

Must have missed this post since my cowls were smaller also, so I added a 1/16" additional G1 former which would create "shadowline". Five minutes ago I was offering kudos to Guillows for their accuracy in their builds and now ....$#&^G(*! |

If, by any chance it doesn't, just send me the plastic pieces, BEFORE you trim them away from their molding, and I'll cast the pieces for you, using the stuff Matt Olson first described. Since you're a friend, the price will be only 1 Gazillion dollars. Your personal check will be fine. |

This was a truly unbelieveable tip. I had considered not attaching the landing gear but had second thoughts, even though the B-24 landing gear is quite "ugly". I tried it on one and filled as directed, set the wire in place and taped the two pieces together with blue painters tape. Dried for two days, removed tape and then pinched open and glued the plastic halves seams together. A little sanding and a perfect gear appeared. Will post if the second comes out as good. Thank DD. |

The B-52 is my favorite plane. I'd be the first to buy if they came out with one. By the way, good work on these planes. I saw this picture as the picture of the month at Guillow.com |

Wow! I was just going to reference the wing extra stringer photos you posted as I'm at this stage with the B-24 and when I visited the site the photo is up. Thanks. |

Extra wood on top of trailing edge & extra, extra stringer on top in front = smoother |

B-52. Now yer talkin'! I'd love to see Guillow's come out with that. |

Nice work station. Though they are both 2000 series Guillows kits, The PBY definitely looks a lot smaller. Now if they ever came out with a B-52 Stratofortress....Hmmmm.... |
