Got sick of sanding and filling so I started the wheel wells.

Thanks Guys, Like the problem that David had a few months ago I can't get my hands on any Micro fill. I ordered some last month and they sent me Model-Lite as a replacement. Can you add micro balloons to it?
David Duckett, Comment for image # 894821 Jul 08 10:31
Me, too.

FYI, I used micro fill built up and sanded to shape.

I'm going to build the rest of the plane first and then decide to best way of conbining and filling. I dont want to use paper fillets as requested in plans.Tried that with the spit and wasn't pleased with the results

Good choice, striking colors, Battle of Britain 1940/41. There are a few 1/24th scale decal sheets available from the plasic mail order houses, although many of them are now out of print.

Jerry, its a 1:24 scale. I quite like the colours of this one.

Glad your building the WW 109, I've been wanting to build a 109 so I'm looking forward to seeing what it builds like. I've got the 1/24th scale Diels kit. What scale is the WW kit? There are certainly a lot of color schemes available for the 109, from Africa to Russia.

The paint job on the Albatros is taking ages. Im either watching paint dry on the Albatros or watching glue dry on the Me109. I'll have to take one out of davids book and use acrylics rather than Humbrol paints

Albatros paint job by day, Me109E build by night.

If you trust Wikipedia, read the Designation section.

Ask the plane Guru poppy....he knows all!

Does anyone know if the ME109E is the same plane as the BF109E

There is something about these west wing kits that oozes quality. From the accurate drawn plans to the quality of the wood, decals and printing. Even the reverse side of the plan has colour references including paints, Humbrol etc and also a 31 point guide for building this specific model.
wingspanner, Image # 803126 Apr 08 18:24

Dont't worry i'm not building two at once. I saw that this model was empty so i've added the kit.

Something about these West Wings mits. They just ooze quality.Everything is exact. From the detailing on the plans to the qality of wood, decals, prop and printing. Even the reverse side of the plans has history, colour schemes including paint references i.e. Humbrol, RLM numbers etc and a 31 point step by step guide to building this specific model.
