This plane has removable landing gear for flight, but could also fly with the landing gear. I still have to spray glosscote then apply the decals and spray dullcote. Then I will attach the canopy. Part of me is thinking I should just leave these old comet kits white and apply the decals. I think it is kind of neat to show off the Comet structure with the original Comet white tissue. What do you all think? |

CPN, Comment for image # 18312 | 20 Jun 10 17:38 | I love it! The amazing thing about this model is how little there is - 30 pieces and some stringers? Maybe. This thing is almost all air. Really well done. Thanks for posting this. |

Second to none in this catergory. Super cool work.

scigs30, Image # 18310 | 19 Jun 10 20:57 | ![](/user_aircraft_images/18310.jpg) Just came back from 7 days in Santa Barbara on vacation. While I was there I was able to visit Collect Air, awsome shop and full of history. I was able to dope all the structures and put this plane together. Without landing gear she weighs 23 grams. With landing gear, 30 grams. I will be busy again this week, but will slowly begin the painting process. |
