Yes, I know this bird has side panels in the cockpit, with toggle switches! Tons of stuff to include. Aileron pedals are next. Then the pilot bucket seat. I need the right plastic bottle for the seat. |

The contol room if a submarine, the instrument panel, if a plane. The detailing begins. |

Happy modeling!

I see you decided to add some extra wood. |

At this stage, it looks a little like you are building him a mini submarine! |

Boris misses his Camel, but likes the "New Ride!" |

Gentlemen remember me? We are 40 hours into the scratch built Mig-3. My Boss says that now the "fun work" of detailing the fuselage will begin. This is a modified Mig published by E Sthal in 1943. Larger scale, bass, not balsa. |

Don't think I will add extra wood as we plan on covering it with aluminum (front) and wood (rear), just like the original. Now I can construct and detail the cockpit while the "Boys" build the tail and wings! |

Boris and Yegor remove the clamps. Building two sides at once worked. I reved the plans thru the computer. When the boys matched the side they fit almost "purrfect"! This bird is 1/13 scale, inches that is. Wingspan should be a tad over 28". |

Yegor has been "stuck a bit!" Fortunately part of his digital computer system was not harmed! |

Boris built the port sode Yegor the starboard. Yegor's math skills have come a long way in a short period of time. "Lettuce" hope the halfs eventually match! I have seen some nice work here in the past few weeks. After building footbridges, planting |

Gentlemen we are back! The dynamic duet of Boris and Yegor pushed a bit to finally finish the fuselage formers. Maybe for Father's Day they will install the side keels and start the stingers. |

Yegor is finally learning numbers. The flippers keep him from counting on his toes! |

Boris, maybe, Yegor has a vision problem. It might have to do with the blood having to flow into those web feet. You might want to tell him it's a dead give-a-way to being an illegal "crosser".

Looks like cutting's going good. Can you get Boris and Yegor to help cut? |
John M Oshust, Image # 3130 | 06 Jun 07 19:34 |
Boris, top, builds the left side. Yegor, bottom, builds the right. I never realized how satisfying and fun cutting all of the parts by hand can be....WONDERFUL!!! Such therapy! |

Boris and Yegor are at it again. Here Boris squares the fist hand cut fuselage former. |
