Yesterday evening. Fin and stripe are now done and the tape came off well. nose nest.

Untaping error under repair. Not sure of the reason. 2 possibilities: 1, pulled tape at the wromg angle (towards the the red instead of towards the white, 2. I got impatient with the acrylic white paint coverage and put 2 coats of Krylon white on and the latex didn't stick well. After this I sanded the white lightly before painging over it. Those 2 corrections seemed to have helped.

I have the same question. Probably best not to know.

Neat item. I'm on EBay all the time and I'm always wondering if I'm bidding against you guys.

IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED - I was just on EBAY and saw a Guillow's balsa building board (35x 14). I like mine. It's listed under "Comet balsa model airplane kits".

Here they are with the glue drying. Note the focus. I believe the camera may have a gremlin living in it.

Here are the parts ready for assembly

Working on the LG. Brian, notice how the focus changes from the bottom to the top of the picture.

The Basler Corp., in Oshkosh, modifies the DC-3, by adding 5 feet to the fuselage, changing to turbo props, modifying the wing and in general beefing it up. It's the plans from Guillow's and a couple of others I found on line combined.

I'm playing catch up here, don. is this an offspring of the dc series? looks like you built it with ease.

It's a red Sharpie. I definitely bleeds a bit with the dope at the beginning, but I haven't noticed a problem with the paint. It doesn't bleed with the gray automotive filler primer (but dope does soften the gray primer) and the acrylic doesn't seem to bother it. There's probably a better red pen to use. That's just what I have on hand.

Don,Question: You use red pen to mark how far to sand, right? If so, have you ever had problems with the red bleeding through your paint?

Looks great!
